TG Kentucky & Toyota Donate $20,000 to Help Local Community

Donation to the Centre Square Program and Five Year Anniversary Ceremony

Lebanon, KY., Oct. 10, 2003 — During a five year anniversary ceremony today at the TG Kentucky plant, the automobile supplier and Toyota announced a $20,000 education grant to the Centre Square project.

The Centre Square project is aimed at converting the old Lebanon Junior High School into a new community center. The funding from the donation is supporting an audio system for the gymnasium along with drapes for the windows.

“On behalf of the Centre Square Committee and the City of Lebanon, I express sincere appreciation to TGKY and Toyota for the generous donation to the Centre Square Project,” said Roger L. Marcum, Centre Square Committee Chairman

He added, “The development of Centre Square as a community center will enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Lebanon and Marion County. The educational, cultural, social and economic opportunities will be expanded greatly as a result of our work together”

Toyota’s Community Connection program is a philanthropy program aimed at supporting non-profit organizations in the cities where the automotive manufacturer and its suppliers do business. To date, Toyota and its suppliers have donated $711,000 at 41 different events in 20 states.

“Toyota believes in contributing to the communities where our manufacturing plants and other facilities are located. Through Community Connection, we extend that support to our supplier communities,” said Atsushi Niimi, President, Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America, Inc.

“TG Kentucky is proud to be a part of the Lebanon and Marion county communities and equally proud to be affiliated with Toyota Motor Manufacturing,” said Hajime Kojima, President of TGKY. “Our company and our people feel it is very important to give back to the community that we live and work in and the Centre Square project is very worthwhile cause.”

During the past five years, TG Kentucky has been transforming raw materials into plastic and rubber automotive parts. They supply interior and exterior plastic parts, rubber parts and hoses to Toyota. TG’s North American Headquarters is located in Troy, Michigan. Aichi Prefecture, Japan is the site of TG’s parent plant, Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd.
