Toyoda Gosei North America Corporation Receives Supplier of Excellence Launch Award
Troy, MI, March 3, 2004 — Toyoda Gosei North America Corporation Corporation (TGNA) recently announced that their affiliate, TG Minto Corporation, of Palmerston Ontario (automotive manufacturer of interior and exterior trim) has received the Supplier of Excellence Launch Award from Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America (TMMNA). This award is in recognition of their efforts as an automotive supplier to improve the delivery and quality for the 2003 Lexus RX330 manufactured by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada (TMMC).
Consideration for the Launch Award of Excellence was given to TG Minto based upon performance through design, product /process development and launch. Meeting Lexus quality expectations was achieved with improvements in 4 major areas: 1) Increased involvement and leadership of Top Management, 2) Continuous improvement of defining roles and responsibilities, 3) establishment of clear, measurable targets, 4) Quality/Production system improvements involving implementation of Lexus quality criteria.
Launch awards were officially presented on Monday, March 1, 2004 during a reception dinner and awards ceremony held at the Marriott River Center in Northern Kentucky.
