Very recently, a listing of North America’s Top 150 Suppliers published by Automotive News posted incorrect sales information for Toyoda Gosei.
In fact, Toyoda Gosei posted North American OEM sales of $1.206 billion in 2004, and worldwide OEM sales of $3.770 billion for the same period. Comparative figures for 2003 were $853 million for North American OEM sales and $3.162 billion worldwide.
The revised listing places Toyoda Gosei as the 45th largest automotive supplier in North America.
These corrected Toyoda Gosei sales figures accurately reflect a much healthier company than what was originally suggested. Indeed, correctly stated, the sales figures show Toyoda Gosei making steady growth in an industry that is undergoing significant challenges.
