Next time you’re sitting at a traffic signal, consider this: the state of California is saving at
least $10 million in power consumption by replacing conventional traffic-light bulbs with LEDs, another
non-automotive use of Toyoda Gosei optoelectronics technology. The use of LEDs in traffic signals brings
much better visibility, with none of the “false lighting” characteristics of conventional lighting.
