Troy, MI, April 10, 2018: Toyoda Gosei’s (TG) Integrated Driver Airbag Damper (IDAD) has won an Automotive News PACE Award. The award is a significant industry credential, honoring technology that sets a new standard for innovation and excellence in the automotive industry.
“We are honored to receive this prestigious award,” said Yoshiyuki Fujita, president of Toyoda Gosei North America Corporation. “At Toyoda Gosei, we strive to deliver the highest levels of quality, innovation and satisfaction to our customers worldwide. The PACE Award demonstrates our strong focus on and success in reaching that goal.”
TG’s IDAD technology is currently the only technology on the market to integrate the three functions of an airbag system into one module, enhancing cross-functionality and performance. Automakers see the benefits of this game-changing technology in reduced cost, decreased complexity and the opportunity for communization.
This is the first time Toyoda Gosei has won a PACE Award. The company also has received several other innovation awards, including a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Award for its work with blue LEDs.
The PACE Award was presented to TG at the annual PACE Award Ceremony on April 9, 2018 at the Max M. Fisher Music Theatre in Detroit.
